Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our culinary team in Chennai. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting delicious and visually appealing dishes for our customers. You will work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from our menu, including traditional South Indian snacks ( Tea,Vada with Chutney,Chat Items,Bread Omlette,French Fries,Cutlet - Veg & Non Veg,Sandwich,Pasta & Noodles,Momos - Optional,Popcorn,Pani puri,Masala Puri,Curd Puri,Samosa Chat,Potato smilies,Spring Roll.
Create and execute innovative recipes and menu items to delight our customers and keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation according to established standards and recipes.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food preparation, cooking, and plating efficiently during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including proper storage and handling of ingredients, equipment, and utensils.
. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to support menu offerings and daily operations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus, special promotions, and catering options to attract and retain customers.
Job Requirements :
Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Familiarity with South Indian and international cuisine, including the ability to prepare dishes such as Momos, Pasta & Noodles, and Spring Rolls, is preferred.
